Sunrise Salmon was formed in 2014 by us, Kevin and Stephanie Schmidt, of Fergus Falls, Minnesota. We have been blessed with four daughters, the oldest of whom has started to join us in fishing each summer. We have been commercially fishing wild salmon in Bristol Bay, Alaska since 2008. We fell in love with the beautiful wild sockeye of the Kvichak river system that we caught and we wanted to be able to share them with our friends and family. That is when we decided to direct market our catch back home in Minnesota. We also wanted to ensure that we could offer the highest quality fish by skipping any "middle men" in our net to plate operation.

     We catch ALL of our own fish as well as professionally process them in our FDA inspected fillet house. We handle each and every fish with care, vacuum seal and flash freeze for ultimate freshness. It is our customers who give us the honor of stocking their freezers year after year with beautiful wild salmon that really make our efforts worth while and our small company possible.
